Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should be chosen based on a current range that includes the FLA from the nameplate analysis. Options include incoming power that can function as control power, categorized as "direct-online starter" if line power is used for control as well, or "separate control voltage" if they differ. For activation from an external switch, terminals can be added for remote control, which assumes the same line and control voltage unless specified otherwise. Key features include a 9A 1-phase direct online reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 3.1-4.2A overload, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
