Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to confirm if it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor. The control power used to close the contactor must also be selected, along with choosing the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Additional options include incoming power configurations such as "Direct-On-Line Starter" if the line power will be used as the control power, or "Separate Control Voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. For starters requiring activation from an external switch, remote start terminals can be added, and configurations can include "Separate Control Voltage + Remote Start Terminals." The kit features include a rating of 9A, support for 1 phase, a separate coil voltage with a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a reset button only, and an overload range of 3.1-4.2A.
