Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60 HP or 80 A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm if it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for a current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor must be selected, and the overload should be chosen from a current range that includes the FLA. Additional options include incoming power configuration, which may be a direct-online starter, separate control voltage, or configurations with remote start terminals. The features of this kit include a 9 A rating, 1-phase compatibility, remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 100-250 V AC/DC coil, a 1.7-2.3 A overload relay, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
