Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. Control power for closing the contactor must also be selected, along with an overload current range that contains the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power: a "direct-online starter" uses line power for control, while "separate control voltage" indicates different line and control voltages. For activation from an external switch, "remote start terminals" can be added, with options for "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 9A 1-phase separate control voltage with remote start terminals, start/stop capability, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 2.3-3.1A. The enclosure is rated NEMA 4X poly.
