Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring that the correct phase is identified (1-phase or 3-phase). Choose a starter rated for a current higher than the motor's FLA, select the control power for closing the contactor, and then select the overload by choosing a current range that includes the motor's FLA. Depending on the incoming power configuration, the options include a "direct-online starter" if line power doubles as control power, or "separate control voltage" if different. Additionally, if remote activation is required, remote start terminals can be added for external switch connections, assuming the line and control voltages are the same unless otherwise specified. The product features a 12A rating, operates on 3-phase power, includes separate control voltage with remote start terminals, has start/stop functionality, operates with a 24-60V AC/DC coil, supports an overload range of 4.2-5.7A, and is housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
