Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) on the motor or equipment nameplate at the supplied input voltage, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. Select the control power used to close the contactor and choose the overload by selecting a current range that includes the FLA. The optional criteria for selection include incoming power type: "direct-online starter" for line power used as control power, "separate control voltage" for differing line and control voltages, or "remote start terminals" for external switch activation. If both line and control power voltages differ and remote start terminals are needed, this is labeled as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 12A 3-phase direct online start/stop, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 7.6-10A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
