Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for your requirements, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage to be supplied, confirming if it is 1 phase or 3 phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, then select the control power used to close the contactor. Next, choose the overload by selecting a current range that includes the FLA determined earlier. The selection can be further refined based on optional criteria such as incoming power configuration, which includes options for "direct-online starter," "separate control voltage," and "remote start terminals." The features of the starters include a rating of 12A for 3 phase applications, separate coil voltage with remote start terminal capabilities, start/stop functionality, a coil voltage range of 100-250V AC/DC, and an overload rating of 10-13A. The motor starters are enclosed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate casing for enhanced protection.
