Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, and confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The starter options include incoming power configurations: a "direct-online starter" if the line power is used as the control power or "separate control voltage" if they differ. For activation from an external switch, terminals for control power input are added, termed "remote start terminals." If remote start terminals are needed with different voltages for line and control power, it is classified as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 12A 3-phase separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a start/stop coil rated for 24-60V AC/DC, and an overload capacity of 2.3-3.1A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
