Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your application, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the supplied input voltage, ensuring whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter with a current rating (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Next, select the control power needed to activate the contactor and then choose the overload by selecting a current range that covers the FLA identified earlier. The selection can be further refined based on several optional criteria, including incoming power type, which can be a "direct-online starter" or "separate control voltage." For remote activation, terminals are available for external switch connectivity, with the option of using different voltages for line and control power. Key features include a 12A, 3 phase, direct online configuration with a reset button, a coil voltage range of 250-500V AC/DC, and a 10-13A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
