Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage supplied, and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power to the motor. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor must be chosen, followed by selecting the overload by determining a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include the incoming power configuration, where direct-online starters use line power for control, separate control voltage indicates different voltages for line and control, and remote start terminals are for activation from an external switch. This kit features a 12A, 3 phase configuration, separate control voltage, a reset button only, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and 4.2-5.7A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure. The starter complies with relevant certifications and specifications necessary for reliable operation.
