Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with a capacity of up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage you plan to supply, and confirm whether the power supply is 1-phase or 3-phase. Choose a starter with a current rating higher than the FLA. Select the control power for the contactor and the overload relay based on a current range that includes the FLA. The optional criteria for selection include the incoming power type: "direct-online starter" if line power is used for control, "separate control voltage" if control voltage differs from line voltage, and options for "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. Key features include a 12A 1-phase direct online start/stop with a 100-250V AC/DC coil and a 4.2-5.7A overload relay, enclosed in a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate housing.
