Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters, suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor nameplate to confirm the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to identify whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. The chosen starter must be rated for current (amps) higher than the motor's FLA. Additionally, select the control power for the contactor closure and the overload by choosing a current range that matches the motor's FLA. Optional criteria for the starter include: incoming power configuration—whether utilizing a direct-online starter or separate control voltage; and the inclusion of remote start terminals for activation via an external switch. Key features of this kit include a 12A rating, compatibility with 1-phase systems, remote start terminals, a start/stop function, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload capacity of 4.2-5.7A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
