Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, it is important to refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and then select the control power used to close the contactor. Additionally, the overload should be selected by choosing a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configuration, where the line power may be used as the control power, referred to as a "direct-online starter," or may differ in voltage as a "separate control voltage." If activation from an external switch is needed, terminals can be added for remote start functions. The features include a 12A 1-phase direct online reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 5.7-7.6A overload relay, all within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
