Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power to the motor. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, then select the control power used to close the contactor and the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The incoming power can be configured as either a "direct-online starter" if line power is used as control power, or as a "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. For starters activated from an external switch, terminals for control power input are available, known as "remote start terminals." The specific product features include a 12A rating, 1-phase operation, remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a 7.6-10A overload relay, and compliance with NEMA 4X standards.
