Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60 HP or 80 A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power to the motor. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should be chosen by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The optional criteria include selecting the incoming power type: a "direct-online starter" if line power is used as control power, or "separate control voltage" if they differ. If the starter needs activation from an external switch, terminals can be added for this input, referred to as "remote start terminals." The starter can also be configured for "separate control voltage + remote start terminals" if different voltages are used. Key features include a rating of 12 A, 1 phase, separate coil voltage, start/stop functionality, a coil voltage range of 100-250 V AC/DC, and an overload relay rated for 10-13 A.
