Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60 HP or 80 A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, first verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring to identify whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter with a current rating higher than the FLA. Additionally, select the control power used to close the contactor and choose an overload based on a current range that includes the motor's FLA. Optional criteria for selection include: incoming power type (direct-online starter, separate control voltage, or remote start terminals), with the last option allowing for an external switch activation. The features of the units include 12 A 1-phase remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250 V AC/DC coil, and a 10-13 A overload. The product also complies with relevant certifications for safety and performance standards.
