Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters rated up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) on the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage, determining whether the motor requires single-phase or three-phase power. Users should select a starter rated for a current higher than the motor's FLA, choose the control power used to close the contactor, and select the overload by choosing a current range that includes the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configurations: for direct-online starters, the line power serves as both the power supply and control power; for separate control voltage, the control voltage differs from the line voltage; for remote start terminals, additional terminals are included for external switch activation. Features include a 12A one-phase separate coil voltage start/stop, 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 5.7-7.6A overload relay, along with the robust NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
