Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, confirming whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power, and choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. The control power used to close the contactor must be chosen next, followed by selecting the overload with a current range that includes the FLA. Potential options include "direct-online starter" when line power also serves as control power, "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from line voltage, and "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. The starter can include a 12A 1 phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, supporting start/stop functions with a 100-250V AC/DC coil and 2.3-3.1A overload. Each starter is enclosed in a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate housing, ensuring durability and safety in various environments.
