Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the required input voltage and confirm if it is single phase or three phase. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload must cover a current range that includes the FLA determined previously. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power types: a direct-on-line starter if line power serves as control power, separate control voltage if they differ, and remote start terminals for activation from an external switch. The features of the starter include 12A 1 phase remote start terminals, a start/stop control, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 3.1-4.2A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
