Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters rated up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the equipment nameplate based on the input voltage, ensuring to note if the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. The control power used to close the contactor should be selected next, followed by choosing an overload that accommodates the FLA. Additional options include selecting between a direct-online starter, separate control voltage, remote start terminals for external switch activation, or a combination of separate control voltage with remote start terminals. Key features of the motor starter include a rating of 16A, 3-phase capability, remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 5.7-7.6A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
