Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, ensuring to confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the appropriate control power used to close the contactor. Choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Options for starter selection include direct-online starters, separate control voltage, and remote start terminals for external switch activation. The technical features of the starter include 16A 3-phase direct online start/stop capability, a coil rated for 100-250V AC/DC, and an overload relay rated at 10-13A.
