Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters, suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate and ascertain whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of the motor, select the control power for the contactor, and pick an overload option that encompasses the FLA. Additionally, determine the type of incoming power: a "direct-online starter" uses line power as control power, while "separate control voltage" indicates different line and control voltages. For activation from an external switch, optional remote start terminals can be included, with configurations available for both same and different voltage requirements. Key features include 16A 3 phase remote start terminals, start/stop function, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 10-13A overload relay, all within the durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
