Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters comprise a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming the motor's phase (single-phase or three-phase). Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor, select the control power for closing the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include the type of incoming power: "direct-on-line starter" if line power is used as control power, "separate control voltage" if they differ, and "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch, assuming the same line and control voltage unless specified otherwise. Features include 16A, 3 phase, direct online start/stop capability, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and 5.7-7.6A overload, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
