Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Next, determine the control power used to close the contactor and select the overload by choosing a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. Additionally, if the line power will be utilized as the control power as well, it is classified as a "direct-online starter," while a different line voltage and control voltage configuration is referred to as "separate control voltage." For activation from an external switch, terminals can be added for the control power input, termed "remote start terminals." The key features include a rating of 16A, 3-phase operation, separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a coil rating of 250-500V AC/DC, and an overload rating of 13-16A, all within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
