Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, considering whether the motor operates on 1-phase or 3-phase power. It is essential to choose a starter rated for a current higher than the FLA. The control power used to activate the contactor must also be selected, along with the overload relay based on the FLA. The model options include configurations for direct-online starters where line power also serves as control power, separate control voltage configurations, and models with remote start terminals for external switch activation. The starter can accommodate various incoming power arrangements, ensuring compatibility with specific voltage requirements. Key features include a 16A 3-phase rating, remote start terminals, a reset button, and an operational voltage range of 250-500V AC/DC. The overload relay is rated for 16-20A, housed within a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
