Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with a capacity of up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to confirm the full load amperage (FLA) at the supplied input voltage, ensuring to identify if it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for a current higher than the FLA of the motor, select the control power for closing the contactor, and choose the overload based on a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. The options include using line power as control power for a direct-online starter or employing a separate control voltage. Additionally, if activation from an external switch is required, remote start terminals can be added, assuming the line and control voltages are identical. The product features a 16A 3 phase separate control voltage reset button, a coil rating of 24-60V AC/DC, and a 10-13A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
