Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, it is essential to refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. It is crucial to choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor. Additionally, select the control power used to close the contactor and decide on the overload by choosing a current range that encompasses the FLA. The selection process can be narrowed down based on optional criteria including incoming power configurations: "direct-online starter" uses line power as control power, "separate control voltage" indicates differing line and control voltages, and "remote start terminals" allow activation from an external switch while assuming the same line and control voltage. For scenarios with different voltages, use "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." This product features 16A 3-phase remote start terminals, a reset button, and operates with a coil voltage of 250-500V AC/DC, alongside a 7.6-10A overload rating, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
