Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring the correct identification of 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power for closing the contactor, and pick the overload based on a current range that includes the FLA. Optional criteria include: selecting incoming power, where a "direct-online starter" uses line power for control, or "separate control voltage" if differing voltages are present. Additional features include 16A rating, 3-phase operation, a separate coil voltage, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a 16-20A overload, and a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
