Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60 HP or 80 A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power to the motor. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power, which can be a "direct-online starter" for same control and line voltage, or "separate control voltage" for different voltages. Additional features include remote start terminals for activating the starter from an external switch, and specific options like 16 A 3 phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, reset button only, and 250-500 V AC/DC coil compatibility. The overload relay is rated at 10-13 A and the enclosure meets NEMA 4X standards.
