Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Next, select the control power used to close the contactor and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include the incoming power configuration, which can be a "direct-on-line starter" if the line power will also serve as the control power, or "separate control voltage" if control voltage differs from line voltage. Additionally, the starter can incorporate "remote start terminals" for activation by an external switch. This starter features a rating of 16A, operates on 1 phase power, provides direct on line functionality, includes start/stop capabilities, and is compatible with a 100-250V AC/DC coil, with an overload relay range of 5.7-7.6A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
