Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload must be chosen based on a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. Additional options for selection include line power type, which can be a direct-online starter or separate control voltage, as well as remote start terminals for activation from an external switch. The features of this kit include 16A, three-phase operation, separate coil voltage, remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay current range of 4.2-5.7A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
