Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that includes the FLA. The options also include: incoming power, where if line power is used as control power, it is termed a "direct-online starter," and if the control voltage differs from the line voltage, it is referred to as "separate control voltage." For activation from an external switch, the starters can include terminals for control power input, termed "remote start terminals." The features of the starters include 16A, three-phase capability, remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a 7.6-10A overload relay, and an enclosure rated NEMA 4X polycarbonate.
