Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters rated up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage indicated on the motor or equipment nameplate and confirm the supply is either 1-phase or 3-phase power. The starter should be rated for current higher than the motor's FLA. Additionally, the control power for the contactor must be selected, and the overload must be chosen based on a current range that includes the motor's FLA. The starter options include configurations for incoming power, categorized as "Direct-On-Line starter," "Separate Control Voltage," or "Remote Start Terminals" for activating the starter from an external switch, with compatibility for different voltages as needed.
