Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage, ensuring it matches the phase required (single-phase or three-phase). It is crucial to choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. Additionally, select the control power used to activate the contactor and choose an overload relay that encompasses the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include whether the incoming power will also serve as control power, which can be classified as either a "direct-online starter" or "separate control voltage." If the starter needs to be activated from an external switch, terminals can be added for this purpose, referred to as "remote start terminals." The specific features of this model include 16A capacity, a three-phase configuration, a separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a 4.2-5.7A overload, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
