Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring you confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power type: a "direct-online starter" uses line power for control, while "separate control voltage" indicates different control and line voltages. For activation from an external switch, options include "remote start terminals" where line and control voltages are assumed the same, or "separate control voltage + remote start terminals" for different voltages. The features include a 16A 1-phase separate coil voltage reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 10-13A overload with a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
