Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, first, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and determine the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA of the motor. Additionally, you can choose from optional criteria regarding incoming power: a "direct-online starter" if line power will be used as control power, or "separate control voltage" if they differ. If the starter needs activation from an external switch, it can include terminals for this purpose, referred to as "remote start terminals." If different voltages are used for line and control power with remote start terminals, this is designated as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The features include a 16A 1-phase separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a start/stop 24-60V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated for 7.6-10A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
