Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the supplied input voltage and determine if the motor operates on 1-phase or 3-phase power. It is essential to choose a starter rated for current (amps) that is higher than the FLA. Additionally, select the control power used to close the contactor and the overload by choosing a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. Optional selection criteria include choosing between incoming power options such as "direct-online starter," "separate control voltage," or incorporating "remote start terminals" for external switch activation. The features of the kit include a 16A rating, capability for 1-phase operation, a separate control voltage with a reset button, a coil voltage of 24-60V AC/DC, an overload range of 4.2-5.7A, and a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
