Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters, rated up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring to consider whether the power supply is 1-phase or 3-phase. Choose a starter that is rated for current higher than the FLA. The control power options include a "direct-online starter," where line power is used for control, or "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. Additionally, remote start terminals can be included to accept control power from an external switch, allowing for various configurations depending on the control and line voltage requirements.
