Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with capabilities up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to determine if the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) that exceeds the FLA of your motor and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should be selected from a current range that encompasses the FLA determined earlier. The options available include a direct-online starter configuration when line power also serves as control power or a separate control voltage setup. Additionally, for activation from an external switch, starters can include remote start terminals, which allow control where line voltage and control voltage differ. Key features include a 26A rating, three-phase operation, direct online functionality, start/stop capability, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, a 20-24A overload, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
