Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with ratings up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the supply input voltage, confirming whether the power is single-phase or three-phase. It is essential to select a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. The control power used to engage the contactor must also be determined, followed by choosing the overload based on a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. Optional criteria for selection include the type of incoming power: a "direct-online starter" if line power is used as control power, "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage, and "remote start terminals" if activation from an external switch is required. Key features include a 26A rating, three-phase operation, separate control voltage, remote start terminals, and a start/stop 24-60V AC/DC coil with a 24-29A overload, all housed in a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
