Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for motors up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and is housed in a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the motor's full load amperage (FLA) from the equipment nameplate, ensuring to check if the power supply is 1-phase or 3-phase. Choose a starter rated for a current higher than the FLA. Additionally, select the control power for closing the contactor and choose an overload relay based on a current range that encompasses the FLA. For operational options, the incoming power can be configured as either a direct-online starter, where line power also serves as control power, or as separate control voltage. Remote start terminals can be added for external switch activation, maintaining the same voltage or incorporating different line and control voltages. Key features of the motor starter include a 26A rating for 3-phase direct online applications, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 10-13A overload relay, all within a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
