Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the specified input voltage, ensuring to identify whether the power supply is single-phase or three-phase. The starter should be rated for a current (amps) higher than the motor's FLA. Additionally, choose the control power for closing the contactor and select the overload by ensuring it encompasses the FLA identified earlier. Optional criteria include the nature of the incoming power, with options for "direct-online starter," "separate control voltage," or configurations with terminals for external switch activation, referred to as "remote start terminals." For this model, key features include a 26A three-phase separate control voltage with remote start terminals and a start/stop 24-60V AC/DC coil, along with a 13-16A overload capacity housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
