Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, it is important to verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor's nameplate based on the input voltage, ensuring to confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. The starter should be rated for current higher than the FLA. The options for control power can either be direct-online, utilizing line voltage, or separate control voltage, where the control voltage differs from the line voltage. Also, for starters activated by an external switch, the provision of remote start terminals is available. Key features of the motor starters include ratings of 26A, 3-phase operation, direct online functionality, start/stop capability, a coil voltage range of 250-500V AC/DC, and overload relay ratings of 16-20A with compliance to NEMA 4X standards.
