Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for a current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should be selected based on a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. Options include incoming power configurations such as a direct-online starter if line power is used as control power, or separate control voltage if they differ. For activation from an external switch, remote start terminals may be added, assuming line and control voltages are the same, or configured for separate control voltage with remote start terminals if they differ. Key features include a 26A rating, three-phase operation, separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a coil voltage range of 250-500V AC/DC, and a 10-13A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
