Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60 HP or 80 A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to confirm if it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA, then select the control power used to close the contactor and the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA. Optional criteria include incoming power considerations: "direct-online starter" for matching line and control power voltage, "separate control voltage" for different voltages, and "remote start terminals" if activation from an external switch is needed. The features of the motor starters include 26 A three-phase remote start terminals, a reset button, a 250-500 V AC/DC coil, and a 13-16 A overload, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
