Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor and the overload must be selected based on a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. Additionally, consider criteria such as incoming power, which can be either a direct-online starter (where line power is used as the control power) or utilize a separate control voltage if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. Options for remote start terminals are also available for external switch activation. The kit includes features such as a 26A rating, compatibility with single-phase systems, direct online functionality, start/stop control, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a 10-13A overload relay, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure, ensuring durability and compliance with various industry standards.
