Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the supplied input voltage, ensuring the phase type (single-phase or three-phase) aligns with your motor’s requirements. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power for closing the contactor, and choose the overload based on a current range that encompasses the FLA. The starters are available with various options, including incoming power configurations such as "direct-online starter" for the same line and control voltage, "separate control voltage" for differing voltages, and "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. The features of the starters include a 26A three-phase separate control voltage option, remote start terminals, a reset button, and a coil rated for 24-60V AC/DC, along with a 24-29A overload relay, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
