Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60 HP or 80 A. These assembled motor starters comprise a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X-rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage. Confirm whether the motor operates on 1-phase or 3-phase power and choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of the motor. The control power used to close the contactor must be selected accordingly, along with the overload, which should be within a current range that includes the FLA identified. Optional features include incoming power configurations, such as a direct-online starter if line power is also used for control, or separate control voltage if they differ. Remote start terminals can be added for activation from an external switch, with options for separate control voltage incorporated. This kit features a 26 A 3-phase separate control voltage reset button, a coil rating of 24-60 V AC/DC, and an overload range of 20-24 A while maintaining NEMA 4X protection.
