Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage, ensuring you confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and then select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload must be chosen from a current range that contains the motor's FLA. Consider whether the incoming power will also serve as the control power, which defines the starter type as either a "direct-online starter" or a "separate control voltage" setup. Additionally, if external switch activation is needed, remote start terminals can be added for control power input. The kit features include a current rating of 38A, designed for three-phase applications, with a separate coil voltage, start/stop functionality, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 35-40A overload relay. The product is encased in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure, ensuring durability and compliance with industry standards.
