Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage being supplied, ensuring to confirm whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for a current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor and select the control power used to close the contactor. The overload should be selected based on a current range that includes the FLA from the previous step. The product offers several options: for incoming power, if line power is used as control power, it is labeled as a "Direct-On-Line Starter"; if not, it is termed "Separate Control Voltage". If activation is from an external switch, it includes terminals for control power input, known as "Remote Start Terminals". An additional option combines remote start terminals with different line and control voltages, referred to as "Separate Control Voltage + Remote Start Terminals". This model features a 38A three-phase separate control voltage start/stop with a 24-60V AC/DC coil and a 16-20A overload, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
